We are very pleased to announce our special guest speaker will be His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada. 
His Excellency is the 28th governor general since Confederation and was invested as Commander of the Order of Military Merit and Commander of the Order of Merit for Police Forces by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Sovereign of these Orders. Her Majesty also invested his spouse, Mrs. Sharon Johnston, as Companion of the Order of Canada. Mr. Johnston has been Companion of the Order of Canada since 1997 and holds the title of Chancellor and Principal Companion of the Order since his installation on October 1, 2010.
A phone call will be made to each member in an attempt to have you invite your spouse, your partner, your children, your friends, your business associates, and your neighbors to this great luncheon.  Please let the Kiwanian who is contacting you know, at that time of their call, whether you will be attending or not,  and how many guests you will have.  We anticipate attendance of 500, so don't miss out on this very special luncheon. 

The luncheon will be held at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and the cost will be $33.00 at the door. (Prepaid members have already paid this luncheon in the July to September billing.)  Parking behind the Fairmont is $11.00 when purchased from Kiwanis. Deadline for advising us of your attendance is August 30th.
